STORY

After both travelling and living many places around the world, the perfect souvenir has always been on my mind. Back home, I looked into what my own country had to offer. I wanted to create an aesthetic souvenir/product that embodied norwegian culture but also told a story- not only perceived as a memento for foreigners visiting Norway but also as something one would like to give as a gift. The idea of bunad(national costume) dolls was born 10 years ago and has developed into more of a concept. Garbeez is a new norwegian company which embraces cultural heritage and the way national costumes play a part in ones national pride and identity. We hope to spread our enthusiasm for norwegian bunads with a range of fun, inspirational and informational products.
